The Opportunity:


As an APS6 Training Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with a passionate team and deliver leadership and management training.

The Role:

Working as the APS6 Training officer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Delivering training to students who use English as a second language
  • Developing and delivering a wide range of effective learning solutions and programs for staff. This may include elearning, facetoface or virtual training, workshops, webinars, newsletters, experiential learning or peertopeer learning opportunities
  • Motivating, developing people and providing direction to support Academy employees
  • Modelling workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and effective workplace environments and acting in accordance with the APS Values and Behaviours

Your Background and Experience:

  • Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Proven track record in delivering training to students who use English as a second language
  • High level of competence in providing expert knowledge in leadership and management
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven critical thinking, creativity and problemsolving capabilities. Experience using humancentred design principles and data to inform outcomes is preferred

A baseline security clearance will be required for this role.

Salary / Rate:

- $60/hr - $65/hr + 10.5% super

  • 6 month contract with option to extend
