About The Role And Where You Will Be Working:
The Assurance Manager collaborates with stakeholders throughout Southern Cross Care (WA) to perform independent internal assurance reviews and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a program to raise awareness of risks and risk controls for continuous improvement of business processes.
  • Updating the rolling Three Year Assurance Programme.
  • Liaising with Executive and senior managers to plan and conduct complex reviews of operations, internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to prepare assurance review reports with recommendations for improvement opportunities.
  • Prioritizing and completing the Assurance Programme using a risk-based approach.
  • Delivering regular assurance reports with actionable plans to avoid potential threats.
  • Conducting special investigations as needed.
  • Implementing the Legislative Compliance Framework and reporting changes to the Executive and Board.

Requirements for this role:

  • Appropriate qualifications/experience in finance, internal audit, law, or risk management.
  • Significant experience in auditing and evaluation.
  • Experience managing audit, assurance, or risk functions in large organizations.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and communication skills.
