About the Site and FIFO

This mining operation is situated approximately a 2-hour flight from Perth and boasts a long mine life along with a strong relationship with the main miner on-site. The travel from the airstrip to camp and between camp and site is minimal, as they are only 3km apart. Here are some amenities:

  • On-site accommodation with permanent en-suite rooms
  • Excellent dining facilities and well-managed communal spaces
  • Recreational facilities like a gym, swimming pool, and sports facilities
  • Comprehensive workshop areas on the surface and underground for maintenance and repairs

Role and Duties

You will work within a team of skilled tradespeople primarily focusing on Toyota Land Cruisers and other support machinery, while also assisting heavy plant fitters as needed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • 90% surface workshop maintenance tasks - including diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and component replacements
  • 10% field service breakdowns - handling breakdowns, diagnostics, and fault finding
  • Operating on a range of machinery including LV's, light trucks, gensets, and lighting towers

Roster & Hours

  • 8/6 days, 7/7 nights - working 12-hour shifts
  • Travel to the site provided during day shifts and self-arranged during night shifts
  • FIFO options from Perth, Geraldton, and Busselton

About You

We are looking for individuals with experience as an LV Mechanic who have a passion for advancing their skills in the underground mining sector. Desired attributes include:

  • Past experience in open-cut or underground mining (highly regarded, not mandatory)
  • Sound knowledge of Land Cruisers
  • Team-player mindset and a positive work attitude
