As a result of a direct request from Sun Drive, in March 2024, Australian Prime Minister, The Hon.

Anthony Albanese, announced the funding of a $1 B program ("Solar Sunshot") to support the establishment of an Australian solar manufacturing industry.

As our new Legal and Operations Manager, you have a dual focus as our in-house legal counsel while also providing operational management.

This will present you with a career defining opportunity to transition you from professional services to a career in the startup / scaleup world and a gateway to diversify your legal skillset into an operational leadership role.


You will focus on:
Leading all of Sun Drive's legal matters including, engaging and managing external counsel.

Collaborate with our COO to assist in broadening your skill set as your transition to an exciting renewable startup / scaleup in an operational leadership style role.

Playing a pivotal role in our Series B fundraising by partnering with the exec team and the board on due diligence.

Become an ally with our department heads to build up our cross functional communication and project management capabilities.
Proactively identify and run with projects to fill operational gaps and tackle various challenges.

We would love you to have:5+ years of corporate law experience with a top tier law firm or in-house counsel.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that allow you to build simplified communication channels to a diverse audience around complex topics.

Previous exposure to delivering high quality training sessions and presentations on various topics.
Desire to develop and build upon your career and further develop your legal skillset with operational leadership.
