A newly created permanent role has been established based in Balmain for a HR Advisor to provide additional HR support.


About the Role

Reporting into a Senior HR Business Partner (based in VIC), you will provide much needed support to the HR Business Partners in what is a very heavily unionised industry.

In this role you will be instrumental.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Provide advice to leaders and employees on activities relating to the employee lifecycle and support end to end HR processes including recruitment, systems, onboarding, performance, reward, engagement, DEI, training and development, and offboarding;
  • Support the recruitment processes and all activities associated with recruitment
  • Maintain current, accurate and confidential employee records within their HRIS
  • Reporting and analysis of data from both HR and Payroll systems;
  • Support with various projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a Senior HR Coordinator or an HR Advisor role, and have a Bachelor's degree in HR or Employment Relations.

Ideally, you will also have experience of working within blue collar industries such as aviation, construction, mining, transport and logistics, although demonstrated experience in other highly unionised environments will be considered.

You will have excellent communication and people skills, including the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be highly organised with a high attention to detail. Experience with HRIS Workday will be a plus.

Please note that this role

may require occasional travel within NSW to support recruitment functions, and you can either hire a car or claim mileage.
