To co-ordinate, supervise and manage Family Day Care Scheme including its operation and registered educators, in accordance with licensing and statutory requirements, the principles of early childhood development and best practice, and the needs of the children and families.


FDC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the service complies with current requirements of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulation
  • Implement and document effective administration procedures for the scheme including placement of children, assessment of educators and their homes, child enrolments, and input and reporting.
  • Monitor and record the quality of service provision, safety procedures and compliance with licensing and statutory requirements
  • Provide support to other functions of the Children's Services Section as directed by the Team Leader/Supervisor or Manager.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Any experience in coordination, management and administration of Family Day Care service would be an asset.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders including parents, DEC personnel, community organizations and early childhood professionals to achieve desired outcomes
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Ideally, 1+ years industry experience. Enthusiastic Freshers can apply.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and selfmotivated, with a flexible and adaptable attitude in a diverse work environment;
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
