Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) to build on the strong foundation of collaboration between its four founding shareholders: The University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Queensland Health and Mater Research.
Supported by an experienced executive team, the CEO will work closely with the leadership of the company's shareholder groups to promote innovative translational research, deliver world class facilities (including a new $100 million translational manufacturing facility), provide an effective interface with clinicians, strengthen research links to industry and government and generate health workforce capability.
The CEO will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence, enhancing TRI's significant standing within the translational research landscape and cementing its reputation.
Candidates will require highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate complexity with influence and gravitas.
Relevant qualifications and extensive experience within a diverse biological/medical and/or health research leadership context should be coupled with an ability to build trusted relationships with shareholders, industry, government, the community and other key stakeholders.
A proven track record in optimising translational research opportunities, as well as executive management expertise that includes strategic business planning and budgeting is required.
