  • Immediate start About the Position: In partnership with our construction client, WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor based within Adelaide (Regional Areas) .
This role is for a 3-month duration and an immediate start.

As a Construction Safety Officer, you will be an integral member contributing to a small, fast-paced team by providing safety support, recommendations, training and inspections in a well organised and timely manner to ensure all sites are safe and compliant with all legislations / acts.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Operations Manager and Construction Managers, advising and implementing on all matters relating to HSW compliances and statutory requirements in accordance with legislation.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work under broad direction, independently and as part of a high performing team. Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety & Environment theoretical and technical concepts. Applies critical thinking and creativity to continuously improve current practices and propose innovations. Effectively gathers and analyses information, communicates effectively with stakeholders and shows initiative in order to problem solve. Builds internal and external stakeholder relationships in order to positively influence change and continuous improvement. Considers the views and input of others to effectively inform improvements required and areas of focus of our activities. Applies communication and engagement skills to initiative and support proactive safety improvements. Applies mentoring and coaching skills to develop capability of operational personnel. Facilitation of workshops, training sessions, toolbox meetings etc. and ability to present to various stakeholder groups. Personnel planning and organisational skills to meet business objectives and timelines.

Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks concurrently Intermediate to advanced computer skills, knowledge of MS Office/Team Skills and Experience:
Qualified with a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (required). Diploma in Work Health & Safety (advantageous). Construction Industry Induction White Card (required). Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role.
