Monash Health Mental Health Program provides a range of community, bed-based and specialist services covering the Casey, Cardinia, Greater Dandenong, Kingston and Monash LGAs - a population of nearly one million.
Psychology & Specialist Services (PsySS) in the mental health program runs a number of programs across Monash Health including the Wellness and Recovery Centre.
WRC is a specialist eating disorder service offering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and evidence based treatment to individuals affected by anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and other specified eating disorder (OSFD).
Services include:
- Adults (1865yo) Inpatient treatment
- Adults (1865yo) Outpatient treatment
- Day Program (1224yo)
About WRC Outpatient Clinic
The Monash Health Wellness and Recovery Centre (WRC) Outpatients Clinic is a community-based specialised service providing client-centred, holistic intervention to adults presenting with severe and complex eating disorders.
The program offers comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, nutritional management, education, support, co-ordinated care and consultation to admission to WRC inpatient or day program as appropriate.
About The Role
The Mental Health Clinician position is a 1.0 EFT temporary with the WRC Outpatient Clinic until April 2024.
The role operates as part of a wider, multidisciplinary team providing treatment to adults with eating disorders utilising CBT-E (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders)
This role would suit an experienced mental health clinician who is passionate about supporting the recovery of adults with an eating disorder.
This role suits someone who wants to be part of the ongoing development of a service known for innovation to improve the health and wellbeing of people with an eating disorder.
What you need:
- Current registration with AHPRA (if appropriate)
- Working with Children's Check
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in mental health
- Proven significant clinical experience
- Australian working rights
You have been developing your management and leadership skills or you are an accomplished Associate Nurse Manager; either way, you are ready to take this next step in your Career.
