As an Operations Manager within our Workforce Australia team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and profitable management of the operations of employment services within Western Australia.


In this role, you will:

  • Deliver optimal employment, training and vocational services
  • Maintain organisational operational standards, oversee funding body contracts and ensure that relevant legislative requirements are met
  • Manage operational structures, processes, activities and budgets
  • Collaborate effectively with other business units and departments of WISE and external stakeholders to meet business objectives and deliver business plans
  • Communicate and work effectively with Partner organisations to develop sound relationships and deliver contractual requirements
  • Strategize and plan to achieve optimal business outcomes, targets and objectives
  • Optimise Employment Services program performance and maintain or increase Employment Services contracts

About you:

  • Extensive experience (8+ years desirable) managing strategic operations within an organisational setting
  • Proven success in achieving outcomes through strategic management
  • Demonstrated qualities of empathy, integrity and compassion
  • Demonstrable strategic agility and business acumen
  • Proven track record in delivering results within a multisite business and in growing a successful business or operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and build an effective profile in the employment market
  • Highly developed planning, coordination, administration, organisational and time management skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a current Driver's Licence
  • Experience in delivering contractual outcomes (Desirable)
  • Experience in tendering and business development (Desirable)
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (Desirable)
  • Full Australian working rights, ability to satisfy national police check, and Working with Children Check requirements
