CommBank's CommSec Operations business is looking for an Associate to join our Deceased Estates and Maintenance team.

The Estates Management and maintenance team is responsible for providing existing and new customers with the necessary support to ensure that all deceased accounts are processed in accordance with legislative requirements as well as relevant Policy and Procedures while delivering a consistently positive customer experience.


The Role.

You will perform maintenance activities across CommSec clients, accounts and products, ensuring our data is maintained and up to date across CommSec equity products, Options and various international trading account while also processing cash payments and margin loans.

You will also perform timely and high quality support to Estate representatives, solicitors and related parties.

This includes being responsible for appropriate duties and care towards deceased estates CommSec accounts ensuring our customers enquiries are answered, actioned and handled with care.


This is 6 month contract/Max Term Arrangement (MTA), which is a great way to learn and enhance and compliment your existing skillset.


On any given day you will:

  • Providing professional, timely and high quality support to Estate representatives, solicitors and related parties
  • Processing of Deceased Estates within regulatory guidelines and timeframes for all CommSec trading, Margin Lending and International products
  • Prepare and send correspondence to executors and/or solicitors
  • Managing business risk and completing QA checks of Estates processing and correspondence
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that all deceased accounts are processed in accordance with legislative requirements as well as relevant Policy and Procedures
  • Maintaining the highest standards of customer service to our customers during this sensitive time by handling their affairs with empathy and respect

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

You will have a strong understand of AML/KYC procedures and will be experienced in handling customer and stakeholder enquires, complaints and issues.

You will ideally have previous trading experience or demonstrable working knowledge relating to deceased accounts & wills.

You will also have:

  • Strong Knowledge of AML and KYC requirements
  • Ability to process and respond to a high volume of queries and tasks
  • Keen interest in a stockbroking operations environment
  • Some knowledge dealing with external bodies such as Solicitors, State Trustees and Government Agencies.
