About the role:

As a Strategic Enablement Advisor you will be responsible for developing and leading procurement and supply chain continuous improvement programs and activities to improve business outcomes and performance.


  • Support the team to develop frameworks, processes, roadmap, and tools to improve enterprise procurement and supply chain maturity
  • Support the management and mitigation of risks associated with audit activities, and work with the business leads to identify initiatives to mitigate risks.
  • Lead the development and assist with the implementation of the overall improvement program for the relevant business unit to ensure targets and met and/or exceeded.
  • Develop improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with customers and/or internal stakeholders to achieve improved outcomes for both customers and the business unit.
  • Drive business optimisation by providing expertise in the identification of opportunities to maximise value and minimise risk within the business unit.
  • Monitor and manage the implementation of business improvement project activities in relation to selection, scope, development, approvals, progress, cash flow and work quality to ensure they are completed to the required standard and within program budget constraints.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of work packages and bids.
  • Analyse and manage performance against business plans, make commercially sound decisions to achieve satisfactory resolutions.
  • Manage the development and distribution of relevant reporting and analysis to meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders to drive and monitor improvement progress with adequate governance.
  • Provide relevant training and development to managers, teams and employees to build enterprise capability
  • Work collaboratively with enterprise functions and promote teamwork to assist in the achievement of improved outcomes.

About you:

  • Six Sigma, Lean and/or project management certification.
  • Minimum 35 years' experience in a commercial role.
  • High level of problem solving, analytical skills and commercial acumen to execute multiple complex analyses simultaneously and to provide commercially valuable, practically sound solutions.
  • High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to synthesise and articulate complex issues to senior leaders, internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of experience in managing projects or programs with demonstrated success in integrating new processes and initiatives into core business activities.
  • Strong ability to coach and develop others while building effective collaborative and professional relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships which support achievement of business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify key issues for customers and develop pathways to resolve.
  • High level of conceptual and analytical skill to interpret strategic financial and other qualitative information to optimise performance and profitability.
  • Experience as a Procurement or Supply Chain consultant at a Tier 1 or 2 professional services firm will be highly regarded.
