Entry Mobile Repair Technician position is a great opportunity for a resilient, team-minded individual who doesn't stray away from a challenge.


What You'll Do:

  • Conducts railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.
  • Performs repairs as necessary while always using current repair procedures.
  • Meets the expectations and requirements of all customers to ensure we deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensures all necessary invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate and complete.
  • Has the ability to pass any required NDT disciplines and function specific certifications, which may include tank car welding, and demonstrates strong familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
  • Actively participates in safety assessments, equipment inspections.
  • Able to perform confined space monitoring and create hot work permits.
  • Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ability to learn basic railcar knowledge.
  • Ability to obtain the following within months (timeline and required test depend on specific location): Welding and Airbrake Test certifications.
  • Ability to learn basic knowledge of how to read Engineering drawings
  • Ability to pass DOT Requirements is a plus
  • Understand and perform all work outlined under Supervision

What You'll Need:

  • Any type of welding/mechanical experience or railcar knowledge is a preferred
