  • Band 2A $59,242 (pro rata)_**Are you looking for ad hoc work, weekdays between 7:00am and 2:00pm?


Yarra City Council has a rewarding opportunity for Food Services Assistants to join the Meals Delivery Team on both a part-time permanent and casual basis.


You will be part of a small team responsible for providing high quality home delivered and centre-based meals to residents within the City of Yarra.

Previous experience in food services and a Food Handling Certificate would be considered favourably.

Essential requirements:

  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • A current Victorian driver's licence
  • Access to a clean and reliable vehicle (you will be reimbursed for mileage expenses)
  • Interest in understanding the needs of older people.

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience in the delivery of community services or food services
  • Current Food Handling Certificate (this can be obtained when appointed)
Shifts are generally four hours per day commencing at either 7:00am or 9:30am each day.

The casual role will be allocated shifts to cover planned and unplanned leave by permanent staff.
