This position will provide opportunities to:

  • Conduct exciting software engineering on novel projects building secure privacy protecting software being designed and trialed in different contexts.
  • Develop open source software and distributed data infrastructure for individual access control (self-sovereignty) over data.
  • Opportunity to work and learn in our cross disciplinary teams, joining a team of experts in data science, privacy, primary health care, and mental health research.

About the opportunity
There are multiple full time and part time fixed term roles available for a period of 1 to 3years based in the Software Innovation Institute in the ANU School of Computing. These positions suits students and recent graduates with excellent skills in open source front and/or back end software development (with opportunities from 2 days/week to full time).

Applications are particularly invited from Indigenous students or graduates, women or others under represented in software engineering who code with flutter or python and other programming languages, and who's interests and experience includes one or more of health care, mental health, data analytics, open source software development, data access, data privacy and data sovereignty.
