We are currently looking for a Senior Estimator to join our growing Natural Resources team in Adelaide.
We are looking for someone with a broad range of experience across mining, oil & gas, and natural resources.
First principles estimating in the energy and resources sector
Preparation of capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines
Application and efficient utilisation of approved work breakdown and cost breakdown structures
An ability to work effectively as part of a team, to ensure that all deliverables are met
Support key tendering activities, including preparation of pre-tender estimates,
Analysis of construction project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities
Working collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as; cost, risk and planning teams
Analyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractors
Providing process and technical estimating support production of feasibility studies
Provide estimating support to manage project budget and scope (Value Engineering)
Must be in Australia and full working rights.
A recognised Degree Qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, MRICS / AIQS accreditation or other relevant qualification is ideal
At least 5+ years relevant estimating work experience
relevant sector experience – preferably in Natural resources
Proficient in the use of Cost X, Unifer, Ecosys, PRISM, Candy or other equivalent tools
Proficient in the use of Excel
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
Team player with the ability to work autonomously
Excellent command of written and spoken English with report writing skills; and
Highly motivated and passionate individual, showing a clear ability to deliver great outcomes for clients.
