As an Experienced Electrical Engineer, your main tasks will involve providing safe and sustainable electrical engineering services tailored to the specific needs of the Resources Portfolio group. Depending on project sizes, you may be involved in multiple assignments for various Resource clients. Come join us and contribute to driving innovation and sustainability in our projects. What you'll be doing We are looking for an Experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Perth. Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Development of HV & LV electrical designs, encompassing detailed design of switchgear, MCCs, and LV switchboards.
  • Performing the necessary electrical calculations for design purposes.
  • Creation of design drawings, including SLDs, schematics, terminations, and general arrangements.
  • Compilation of ITPs, MTOs, datasheets, specifications, methodologies, procurement, and construction scopes of work.
  • Conducting power systems modeling and analysis for HV and LV electrical systems, coordination of protection settings, and arc flash analysis.
  • Reviewing vendor documentation and ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Preparation of project design review documentation, HAZIDs/HAZOPs, and safety in design workshops as necessary.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, seniors, other engineering disciplines, and the Workshare team to finalize engineering designs and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Assisting in, or directly handling the preparation of project documentation, such as budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and reports as needed.
What you need
  • A Bachelor qualification recognized in Australia within the relevant discipline.
  • Experience in detailed electrical design and implementation, with a solid grasp of project phases and deliverable types.
  • Solid understanding and experience in:
    • Interfacing in brownfield environments
    • High/Low voltage power infrastructure systems
    • Electrical calculations
    • System Studies, Protection, earthing, arc-flash, and lightning studies
    • Creation of design drawings (SLDs, schematics, terminations, schedules)
    • Vendor documentation review
    • Preparation of ITPs, MTOs, datasheets, specifications, methodologies, procurement, and construction scopes of work
    • Providing input for electrical estimates and implementation schedules
  • Previous site experience, equipment inspections, testing, and commissioning skills would be favorable.
