Quantem is Australia's largest independent bulk liquid storage company with terminals across Australia and New Zealand. We deliver bulk liquid storage solutions for both hazardous and non-hazardous products to a wide array of businesses and primary industries, for both import and export.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Assets team.

Reporting to the Major Projects Manager, the objective of this role is to develop and manage the development and execution of projects in accordance with the business objectives in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner in accordance with Quantem policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Development of concept Screening details and estimates for potential projects
  • Development of front end designs and estimates for approved projects including management of relevant consultant parties.
  • Manage Project Delivery in accordance with the Quantem's Project Stage Gate process in obtaining capital funds and executing projects.
  • Manage Contractors and Consultants to achieve project deliverables requirements on time and within budget.
  • Control and manage approved project schedule and expenditure in accordance with approved project plans.
  • Monthly reporting on project costs in collaboration with PMO.
  • Tendering and contract development.
  • Identifying and obtaining development and associated third party approvals.
  • Demonstrate and lead by the Quantem values of Safety, Partnering, Accountability, Leadership and Excellence.

To be considered for the position, candidates will possess:

  • Formal qualifications in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Conversant with design principals and standards for the storage and handling of bulk liquids including chemicals and hazardous products, with knowledge of tanks, pumping and piping systems, plus associated safety and environmental requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management skills in accordance with PMBOK competency areas
  • Competent is use of project planning software and platforms.
  • Experience in project risk management.
  • Ability to collect and analyse data, prepare reports, deliver financial budgets.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to management and project teams.
  • Demonstrated project and contract management experience having managed single or multiple projects in ranging from $5m to $50m in value.
