The Role


This is a great opportunity to join our busy Northmead team in this Production Manager role that will see you accountable for the delivery of set KPI's and be a senior leader for the Northmead plant.


We are looking for an energetic and nurturing leader who will manage, direct and support our teams and lead the performance of the raw materials and the batching teams to optimise the manufacturing output to meet present and future demands of the business.


The Key Responsibilities include:

Health and Safety

  • 1. Setting the benchmark for role modelling health and safety behaviour with the team. _
  • Daily Floor presence, hazard identification, SIC Updates.
  • Weekly 1:1 conversation, safety observations, critical risk conversations, SDCA checks.
  • Monthly SWP reviews, online modules reviews
  • 2. Ensure Health and Safety information is communicated to the teams across all shifts_
  • Daily Toolbox talks shift start, document control: sign off / uploads.
  • Monthly stop for safety sessions, document control: sign off / uploads.
  • 3. Drive and own the Safety culture within distribution in the pursuit of Zero Harm across the site._
  • Challenging current status, identifying opportunities, and driving change for site progression (IE: Administrative controls currently in place for vehicle entry between Docks 79, what engineering opportunities can be explored)

Quality & Change Management

  • 1. Ensure the Supply Chain process is delivering first time quality outcomes consistent with the expectations of the relevant legislation, CCEP policy and The Coca-Cola Company. _
  • Completion of online modules throughout the team and within timeframe, Toolbox talks, document control: sign off, uploads.
  • 2. Ensure and drive change management effectively through the team. _
  • Setting your team up for success, IE: providing them with the correct tools, one pager, work instructions, getting the team involved/engage.
  • 3. Ensure projects are delivered on time and on cost. _
  • Knowing your team, allocating the correct resources and weekly catchup sessions with time booked in calendars.

Driving Value and Productivity through asset utilisation

  • 1. Drive productivity, as well as overall DC performance processes for improvement._
  • Daily Floor presence, toolbox talks, accurate data displayed in full across SIC screens, asset care of all MHE
  • 2. Ensures appropriate labour is allocated to maximise DC efficiency and minimise labour costs. _
  • Daily role allocations reviews, roster accountability IE: 3PL comms / day on day labour review short shifts where possibly, managing split lunch breaks.
  • 3. Meet KPI's and targets as required by our clients and the business. _
  • Daily Pick Lead reviews, Staging Lead reviews, TOS, role allocations.
  • 4. Ensure all outbound orders are accurate and ready on time. _
  • Daily Staging Lead, role / labour allocations, mobildock swipes

Day to Day

  • 1. Build cross functional high performing teams. _
  • Monthly exchanges IE: cross training all FLD Route/Doubles/Reach
  • 2. Develop and maintain high standard training documentation. _
  • Monthly SWP reviews, expanding the training booklet from 10days too 15days.
  • 3. Maintain and building partnerships with key stakeholders, both internal and external_
  • Monthly catch ups calendar bookings PSW / MHE as well with leadership

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • A demonstrated record of driving value and productivity through a known methodology of continuous improvement
  • A proven track record of managing relationships and building partnerships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Leading a team to maximum effect to ensure business outcomes
  • A demonstrated track record of managing a team to execute change programs
