At Wursthaus Kitchen in Salamanca, we're passionate about good food and wine. We offer a wide variety of fresh cut meats, smallgoods, charcuterie items, and international and local wines. We're a specialist retail butcher serving up some of the finest produce in Tasmania.

We're now looking to train up the next generation of butcher to learn our craft. We are looking for an apprentice butcher to join our team to learn the trade from ground up.


You'll be working with a great team and managed by an amazing tradesperson who will teach you all about becoming a specialist retail butcher.

This is a full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday, with some weekend work required.

  • Commitment to undertaking a 4year qualification
  • Well presented, spoken and can deliver great customer service
  • Can demonstrate adherence to food safety standards, as well as working safely with knives and handtools
  • Passion for meats and smallgoods, as well as delivering exceptional quality products to our clients
