About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform horticultural trade tasks in the areas of gardening, arboriculture, landscape construction in a safe, competent and efficient manner.
- Operate plant and equipment including attachments to maintain and develop areas in a safe, competent and efficient manner.
- Maintain plant and equipment daily including keeping all in a clean and tidy condition.
- Operate chainsaws in line with role instructions in a safe manner.
- Ensure that all tasks undertaken by the position is carried out in a healthy and safe manner and that unsafe aspects of the workplace are immediately rectified and/or reported to your supervisor when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as directed within the skills and abilities required of this role. This may include relief of cleansing or maintenance duties from time to time.
Skills and Experience
- Punctual and reliable including flexibility to assist with coverage of 9 day fortnight operation.
- Chainsaw Ticket preferable.
- MR License not required, but favourable.
- Ability to understand and comply with safe work practices and ensure that safety, including that of the public, is considered in all works carried out.
