The Warehouse, Production and Quality Control Operative will undertake a variety of manufacturing and warehouse related activities and general quality control tasks to support the day-to-day requirements of our client's manufacturing sites and customers.


PRODUCTION

Ensure that work performed meets quality standards by:

  • Following all work instructions.
  • Ensure conformance to product specification through correct raw material selection, weighing, mixing, milling & potting and quality control.
  • Pick correct batches for manufacture as designated by production order.
  • Ensure products are correctly labelled.
  • To operate to the procedures set down in the company's health and safety manual and to ensure all customers, contractors and visitors on site are aware of and comply with health and safety policies.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping.

RECEIVING AND DISPATCH
Receiving and dispatching goods to meet business and customer needs by:

  • Receiving goods into warehouse and storing the goods in accordance with company procedures.
  • Receiving goods onto SAP.
  • Picking / Packing goods for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers as required.
  • Be familiar with biosecurity concerns when stuffing and destuffing containers.
  • Be familiar with transport regulations for all dangerous goods for export, interstate and local distribution & awareness of storage and handling regulations for dangerous goods.
  • Completion of paperwork in accordance with company procedures

FORKLIFT OPERATION
Operating the forklifts in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies by:

  • Having appropriate qualifications and training.
  • Conducting day to day maintenance and safety checks.
  • Operating forklifts in line with company Forklift and WHS policies.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT & STOCKTAKING

Ensuring that accurate records of inventory are maintained by:

  • Receiving goods into warehouse and storing the goods in accordance with company policy.
  • Conducting regular and accurate cycle counts and participating in scheduled stocktakes.

TECHNICAL FUNCTION
Ensure company products and services meet customer expectations by:

  • Following Standard Operating Procedures for process control activities.
  • Carry out Quality Control activities as required.
  • Providing inplant cover at customer sites as and when required.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside normal working hours when required this may include weekend and after hours work.
  • Other duties as requested by management that are consistent with the nature of the position and/or seniority & experience.
KEY CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of and experience within a stores environment.
  • Computer skills of data entry of goods received and dispatched.
  • Sound understanding of relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Current forklift license.
  • Works as part of a team good interpersonal communication skills required.
QUALITY & SAFETY


Workers on company Sites (including casual employees and contractors) have a duty to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and to not adversely affect the health and safety of other people.

Workers must comply with any reasonable instructions and must cooperate with any reasonable WHS policy or procedure.
