We are looking for an experienced Maître d' to join our team at Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney, part of the prestigious Hunter St. Hospitality Group.

• Work alongside a dedicated team to achieve daily deliverables and big picture targets while creating an exceptional atmosphere in a vibrant venue where customers can't wait to return.
• Lead by example on the floor, demonstrating a hands-on approach and a commitment to guest experience
• Welcome and greet guests, assisting with reservation, walk-ins and seating arrangements
• Manage all reservations and floorplans using Sevenrooms, ensuring seamless table turnover and handling special requests as required
• Prepare and brief the team on hosting VIP and high value guests, inclusive of identifying and enriching the experience for our valued members
• Collaborating with the front of house and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and awareness of current demand

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in hospitality/hotels in a similar role
• Eagerness to grow both personally and professionally, leading from the front with a focus on daily deliverables and a willingness to go above and beyond for the team and clientele
• Ability to create an outstanding looking venue, ensuring a happy team, and delivering a fantastic dining experience for our customers.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to deliver our distinct brand DNA and style
• Ability to multi-task with strong organisation skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Second language proficiency is advantageous
