• A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Float Driver based out of Somerton. The primary job function of this role is to pick up and drop off Asphalt Laying Equipment from various sites_

Downer's Road Services business is one of the largest non-government owned road services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 40,000 km of road. Our business is involved in many exciting ventures within the civil road industry throughout the country.

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Float Driver to work within our Asphalt Business based out of our depot in Somerton.

Reporting to the Works Programmer, the primary job function of this role is to pick up and drop off Asphalt Laying Equipment from various sites.

This is a full-time permanent position to work primarily in the Melbourne metropolitan area and would be well suited to someone with a high regard for safety and quality.

ABOUT YOU

• Current HC licence (Minimum)
• Current General Construction Induction card
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
• Sound knowledge of the Melbourne metropolitan area
• Ability work on a rotating shift roster
• Display good initiative and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience operating Pavers and Rollers.
• A strong 'team player' with the proven ability to work efficiently with others
• A strong commitment to a Zero Harm culture
