HAARSLEV IS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A COMPETENT SUPERVISOR for the technical installations, commissioningand and site management of turnkey installations of fat
- and protein recovery plants

The position is full time, but limited to this project's duration, estimated to app. 6 months.

The applicant must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Supervisor for Haarslev, you will be responsible for the installation of a fat
- and protein recovery plant, including the overseeing of electrical installation and commissioning including dry and wet testing

This project includes:

  • Overseeing the capacity test ending with a complete handing over to the customer.
  • Training of maintenance
- and production staff

  • Ensuring compliance with
- and Managing Health, Safety and Environment according to national
- and local requirements for the relevant country and client including specific Site Safety Plans.

  • Ensuring that the project is on schedule according to contract and delivered to the specified quality.
  • Ensuring that all site teammembers are fully informed of the role and duty relevant for their respective work scope.
  • Participate in the daytoday planning of site works.
  • The daily management/supervision of the installation team
  • Daily contacts
- and coordination with the client, project manager and other relevant departments.

  • Maintenance of budgets with regards to resources
  • Elaboration of catchup plans in case of delays and ensuring of the subsequent progress
  • Prioritisation any conflicting activities in order to affect the installation as little as possible.
  • Review
- and approval of sub-contractor's Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

  • Detailed scheduling of activities
  • Ensure that works are executed in compliance with Haarslev QC requirements.

EXECUTION


As a Supervisor for Haarslev, you must ensure that the executed works are according to the Quality Inspection Plan by proactively ensuring that work interfaces are coordinated between the work disciplines and contractors on site.

You must ensure, supervise and monitor that the installation maintains progress according to the schedule by, in a proactive manner, identifying and documenting interfaces between the installation, other contractors and other partners.


Amongst other things, you must:

  • Daily follow up on the Contractors progress
  • Verify quantities in relation to Change Orders
  • Settingup and mobilisation of the installation team
  • Receive and register incoming materials
  • Liaise with external authorities.

  • Be responsible for the ongoing works are in accordance with safe working methods.
  • Ensure that the operatives have clear understanding of the work.
  • Intervene and stop any unsafe behaviour on site.
  • Report and record unsafe situations, dangerous occurrences, near misses and accidents.
  • Ensure that works carried out is compliance with the local statutory HSE Regulations and Site Rules

Method Statements/Risk Assessments.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge of steam heated cooking, presses, air treatment, conveyor, pressure piping/valves, pumps, separation systems, storage bins, electrical control panels, Scada pc, wiring of electrical equipment
  • Knowledge of installation of very heavy equipment, steam pipes, access ways etc.
  • The role requires very detailed mechanical knowledge of the equipment in due to the training of the maintenance and repair teams
  • The role calls for at detailed knowledge of process to teach the process operators staff and the operating management staff.
