Duty Manager at Hyatt Centric Melbourne
Based on site in Melbourne CBD, the Duty Manager is a vital role within the Front Office Team, responsible for overseeing the hotel, whilst ensuring all guests' and team member needs are met efficiently and seamlessly by creating memorable experiences, further to this;

  • Supervision and Support of Front Office employees, ensuring exceptional and efficient service is delivered at all times.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in creating departmental policies and procedures, implementing Hyatt brand standards and ensuring all are upheld in the ongoing operation.
  • Manage hotel inventory and rooming allocation of all guests.
  • Responsibility for the Hotel in absence of The General Manager and other Senior Management.
  • Assist in the rostering of staff ensuring the department is adequately manned according to occupancy, service and costs

Qualifications:

Your Background:

To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:

  • Previous experience working in a Front Office Team as a Team Leader or Supervisor within a hotel environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and keep calm under pressure
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, train and motivate team members
  • The flexibility to work on rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with strong service recovery skills
