About the Role

As Head of Department - Student Engagement, you will:

  • Supporting students through engagement in the classroom and the playground.
  • Coordinating and developing playground leadership and social skills program with students.
  • Facilitating and supporting whole school and tiered intervention for Tier 2 & 3 students.
  • Supporting and building teacher capacity in trauma informed practices, Essential Skills for Classroom Management, Tier 2 & 3 strategies and performing functional behaviour assessments.
  • Facilitating and engaging all stakeholders in student case management meetings to develop Individual Behaviour Support Plans, crisis management plans and SAGS.
  • Working closely with a student behaviour and engagement team that includes; the Principal, Deputy Principals, Head of Inclusive Practice, Guidance Officer, Social Worker and/or Head of Department-Curriculum.
