Advisor, People Communications, Temporary Part-Time Opportunity, Based in Sydney, Flexible working, Grade 7/8

  • Become anintegral part of a high-performing team providing communications support to the Secretary, Chief People Officer and Corporate Services. This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate and deliver employee communications for special campaigns and projects across DCS.


We're looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised communications professional to join the People Communications team to support the development and delivery of internal communications for special campaigns and projects.

Working closely with your leader, you will produce clear, effective and timely employee communications across multiple channels, that build trust and engagement while ensuring all messaging remains aligned to our DCS Connect, People and Communication strategies.


This is a two (2) day per week role, ideally working both Monday and Tuesdays, but at least one of these days.


Key to the success of these roles will be developing positive and collaborative relationships within the teams of the Secretary, Employee Experience, People & Culture and Chief Operating Officer, as you help them build strong engagement across DCS by supporting effective top-down and bottom-up communications.

Your peer-to-peer relationships within the DCS Brand, Digital and Communications team will also be key to your success in embedding executive priorities within all relevant people communications.


As an?Advisor, People Communications?you will provide crucial support to the People Communications team that enables agreed communications plans and initiatives to be executed on time, to a high standard and aligned to organisational and departmental strategy.


You will also be responsible to:

  • Develop a sound understanding of client needs and establish and maintain productive working relationships with them, as well as peer-to-peer support teams, to enable you to complete work in a timely manner and to high standards.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on communications plans and outcomes to ensure continuous improvement.

To be a successful in this position, you need to:

  • Be available to work part-time on Monday and Tuesdays
  • Be a confident written and verbal communicator who is experienced in internal communications.
  • Be a team player committed to streamlining the way we work to deliver exceptional employee communications.?
  • Be able to deliver to tight deadlines and be flexible and resilient in an environment of changing or competing priorities.
  • Have experience in external stakeholder engagement, social media or communications is desirable.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101947 base plus superannuation.
