Your future role


An opportunity has become available to join the Alstom Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team on the iconic Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 project.

You will primarily be responsible for supporting our team by driving EHS initiative and compliance across the project.

You will be based at our site office in Broadbeach and will be required to travel to different sections of the new line as required.

Initially this role will be for a 2 year fixed-term contract, however there is potential for it to extend and/or transition in to a different position.


We'll look to you for:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to identify and manage EHS risks.
  • Supporting the implementation of the site's EHS management system.
  • Supporting the development of EHS risk management documentation.
  • Leading the site's Safety Observation Visit process.
  • Undertaking incident investigations and identifying preventative actions.
  • Undertaking independent project systems audits and develop and monitor safety performance indicators.
  • Preparing monthly statistical and client report.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of local legal and regulatory health and safety requirements.
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within Rail, Construction or Electrical works.
  • A relevant qualification in WHS.
  • Construction Induction White Card (preferred).
  • Rail Industry Worker Card (preferred).
