The Genazzano Rowing program is one of the most prominent schoolgirls' rowing programs in the country.

It has nearly 40 years of proud history and is complemented by the College's whole sport program, including the state-of-the-art Physical Performance Centre and a supportive parent community.


The College is seeking expressions of interest from highly skilled, reliable, and motivated applicants for the 2023/24 season to coach the College 2nd VIII from our training venue at Footscray City Rowing Club.


Applicants should be available to start from Monday 17 July, through to 24 March 2023 inclusive and must attend all on-water coaching sessions, camps, and regattas.

Land training hours are available as required by the Head of Rowing. Applicants must also be willing to drive the College bus for most on water training sessions in Footscray.

A Heavy Vehicle (Medium Rigid) driving licence will be required, training and qualification will be supported by the College if required.

The on-water coaching schedule* for each squad is as follows:

Additional hours include:
- various Saturday Regattas throughout Term 4 and Term - day training camps in December 2023 (dates to be confirmed, circa 5-16 December)
- residential training camp in December 2023: December
- day training camps in January 2024 (dates to be confirmed, circa 11-14 Jan and 23-28 Jan)
- residential training camp in Nagambie: January 202- the Head of the Schoolgirls' Regatta in Geelong: March 2024

Requirements:

  • NCAS Level 1 coaching accreditation
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Record Check
  • Marine license
  • Level 2 First Aid accreditation
  • Medium rigid vehicle driver's license or a willingness to gain such qualification
