With four distinct brands that cater to different demographics, we operate across five countries, including Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines. About the role (What you'll be doing)

Eucalyptus is searching for an Engineering Team Lead to oversee one of our three engineering teams. Each team is responsible for specific domains within our healthcare services, focusing on enhancing and maintaining the overall user experience. Your team will consist of 4-5 engineers, with plans for expansion in the coming months.

As an Engineering Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing our talented engineers to ensure high performance
  • Translating business requirements into a clear quarterly roadmap in collaboration with the product team
  • Participating in organization-wide initiatives and driving process enhancements alongside engineering leadership
  • Building and refining an efficient engineering team, including recruitment and resource planning for future growth
  • Engaging hands-on with the team through coding, code reviews, and contributing to system design discussions
About you (Who you are)
  • You have experience managing engineering teams and excelling in performance management practices
  • You have a proven track record of handling competing priorities related to new features, incremental improvements, and technical scalability
  • You enjoy collaborating with product managers, designers, and other teams to achieve successful outcomes
  • You are passionate about inspiring and leading teams in a fast-paced startup environment that values decision velocity and quality
  • You possess prior experience tackling technically intricate issues as a senior engineer and have recent hands-on exposure to technologies such as:
    • Frontend: React (& React Native), Typescript, Apollo, Tailwind
    • Backend: TypeScript, Node, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, GCP, GRPC
