About the role

Tronox is seeking Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our maintenance team at our Atlas Mine near Balranald, NSW, about 3 hours east of Mildura on a permanent full-time basis.

The E & I Technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor and are responsible for safely and effectively completing preventative and breakdown electrical/instrument maintenance across all areas of the site.

Responsibilities

Conducting maintenance activities, inspection testing and calibration of fixed plant electrical equipment and instrumentation in accordance with Company procedures and operating instructions. The minimisation of downtime through accurate fault finding, and repairs. Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrument, and electrical equipment in accordance with standards. Utilising SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports as required. The isolation of plant and equipment for maintenance purposes. Participation in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas that may enhance maintenance, safety, process, and cost reduction. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship.

About you

To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:

Electrical Trade Certificate (essential) Cert IV instrumentation (essential) HV switching certification (desirable) High risk licence; forklift, working at heights, confined space Fixed Plant experience and exposure working on LV, HV and Process Control installations. Someone who enjoys working in a team-based environment, with a desire to develop their and other teams' skills. SCADA experience (desirable) Knowledge of SAP (desirable)
