About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Early Years and Community Care, the core responsibilities include:

  • Providing knowledge, technical support and resources to support team members to perform their roles to the best of their ability.
  • Ensuring compliance requirements with regulatory bodies are met and continuous improvement initiatives implemented to enhance procedures and processes and deliver timely and effective client services.
  • Working collaboratively with service providers to ensure that services provided are relevant and complimentary to each another
  • Providing a safe and supportive work environment that complies with Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and ensuring routine compliance with the Meals on Wheels Food Safety Program in line with the guidelines of FSANZ.
  • Ensuring the Shire meets its obligations as a community leader in its commitment to being a Child Safe organisation

Position Description:

Coordinator - Community Care

About You


As part of the Early Years and Community Care team this role is responsible for the provision, allocation and monitoring of effective and efficient services which meet the assessed needs of clients.

You will use the following skills and experience to be successful in this role:

  • Qualification in a social science / health discipline and / or related qualifications
  • Understanding of the requirements of the training and supervision needs of direct care workers and food services staff.
  • Experience in the use of CareLink Plus is an advantage.
  • Experience in a similar or related role is desirable.
