The Market Intelligence Specialist will report to the Head of Research & Insights and will provide technical expertise on secondary market research in the service of brand and reputation tracking and monitoring, audience insights, new product development, business strategy, market opportunity analysis and competitor review activity.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and maintain a regular reporting program on relevant market trends and analysis in the service of new product strategy,
  • Access a wide range of information and data sources (e.g. broad macroeconomic and policy landscape and trends, competitor analysis, prospective student preferences, existing student demand and enrolment trends, employer needs, job market trends and skills gap analyses, industry and statutory funding insights, official statistics etc.)
  • Consult with key internal stakeholders across divisions and portfolios on the nature on the strategic priorities to be assisted by uptodate market intelligence and trend analysis
  • Ensure all reports are catalogued in the organisations marketing insights repository
  • Consult and update the organisations customdesigned market opportunity analysis model, alerting key internal clients to changes in trends and new opportunities both on a regular basis

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of domestic and international secondary market intelligence and data sources
  • Mid level experience in Secondary Research, Macroeconomic Trends, competitor analysis
  • Good track record of conducting desktop research and interrogation of secondary data sources
  • Knowledge of Marketing and communications principles, including strategy planning, implementation, measurement and evaluation
