The Position

St John of God Richmond Hospital is a private mental health hospital northwest of Sydney providing comprehensive and holistic mental health care services in a tranquil setting. Providing multidisciplinary care to all patients based on an individualised care model, the hospital wards maintain strong links with community mental health services, other primary health care providers and social services to ensure patients receive ongoing care after leaving hospital


Opportunities are now available to join our new wellness center opening in March 2023, as an
Exercise Physiologist on a permanent basis.


Joining us as an Exercise Physiologist, you will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical services to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills.

You will work independently and ensure practice is in accordance with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) _Code of Professional Conduct and Ethical Practice_ and SJGHC policies and guidelines.


This is a fabulous opportunity to take the next step in your Exercise Physiology career, working alongside a professional and supportive clinical team within the field of Hospital based Allied Health.

This is a permanent part time position of 38 hours per week.

  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science or similar. Eligible for accreditation with the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
  • Experience in assessment, exercise prescription, monitoring and progressions for special population using evidence based practices in therapy (e.g. Musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac and metabolic conditions).
  • Demonstrate capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligible for Medicare Provider number.
