Job Description: Join our team as a Chef at Embers Grill and Burger We're looking for a skilled

chef to prepare delicious grill specialties and gourmet burgers. You'll work in a fast-paced

environment, collaborating with our kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties/Responsibilities:

● Handle daily food preparation, ensuring compliance with restaurant standards and

quality.

● Implement instructions and recommendations from management and customer

feedback into daily kitchen operations.

● Coordinate tasks with the Head Chef across different work shifts.

● Estimate daily production needs and monitor food quality, forecasting short-term

production needs.

● Ensure highest quality in food production, preparation, and presentation, supervising

team members accordingly.

● Maintain knowledge of standard procedures and policies related to food preparation,

storage, and sanitation.

● Familiarity with all menu items, their recipes, production methods, and presentation

standards; train and coordinate junior staff accordingly.

● Contribute to menu items based on current trends, customer feedback, and cost factors.

● Adhere to good preservation standards for proper handling of all food products at the

correct temperature.

● Ensure hygiene, safety, and correct use of equipment and utensils.

● Produce own work/dishes within specified deadlines and assist others in achieving the

same.

● Maintain hygiene and food safety compliance regarding expiry dates and proper storage

of food items.

● Set an example of personal hygiene and cleanliness on and off duty.

● Collect daily feedback and discuss issues with management as they arise.

Qualifications Required:

● Diploma or Certificate iv in Commercial cookery or a related field is preferred.

Work Experience Required:

● At Least 3 years full time experience in commercial kitchen

● Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing a kitchen team effectively.

● Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments are highly desirable.

Salary:

● Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 + superannuation's, annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
