Greencross Vet Hornsby is seeking a Veterinary Director to join our fantastic team consisting of qualified nurses, practice manager, receptionist, and a highly experienced veterinary associate. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building relationships and providing top-notch client/patient experiences. Saying goodbye to our current Vet Director was tough, but we are thrilled to welcome you aboard and support you every step of the way.

Our state-of-the-art GP clinic is located inside the popular Petbarn Hornsby store, equipped with four consult rooms, two surgical theatres, ample parking, and bright treatment rooms. Additionally, we have a morning coffee van on-site to ensure all your needs are met.

As the Veterinary Director, you will receive support from an Area Manager, Regional Clinical Director, and state General Manager to assist you in managing clinical standards and financial aspects. Being part of the Greencross network means you are never alone in this journey.

We believe weekends are for fun, not work. Therefore, we offer a flexible roster tailored to your personal preferences, allowing for a great work-life balance - a 4-day week or 5 shorter days with a 1:4 half-day Saturday rotation.

Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian with a minimum of 4 years post-graduation experience, strong clinical leadership, proven management skills, and a willingness to support junior vets and nurses. You should be adept at consulting, diagnosing, and treating companion animals independently. Bonus points for effective time management and being an approachable leader who mentors in a fun and collaborative manner.

Through evidence-based practices and collaboration with colleagues and specialists, you will manage cases effectively while continuously learning and growing.

Qualifications

We value a fun and collaborative team environment while upholding high standards of care. To be eligible for this role, you must be dedicated to delivering compassionate and industry-leading healthcare to our patients and their families. Additionally, you should hold a Veterinary degree from an AVBC-accredited university or have completed NAVLE, AVE, or similar examinations.
