Workshop Storeperson

We currently seek a Permanent Full-time Storeperson who is reliable and will bring their experience and positive approach to contribute to our future success.

NOTE:
CHESS ENGINEERING IS RELOCATING TO LEPPINGTON IN JULY

About you:

• Prepare, issue and monitor tools, equipment and materials as required and staff conduct check returns, reporting any losses and repair needs.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of workshops, studios, machines, equipment, tools and associated items, and replacing consumables.
• Perform periodic stocktakes of tools and materials, monitor stock levels and prepare requisitions / orders in liaison with teachers to meet operational needs.
• Follow up orders, acquit invoices for goods received, and prepare relevant paperwork for invoice processing.
• Remove/ collect stores from receiving areas to appropriate storage areas and maintain security of tools, equipment and materials as required.
• Responsible for the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending goods and other products according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.
• Implement processes and perform activities to ensure sustainable and economic use of tools, equipment and materials through methods such as reclaiming, reusing and recycling.
• Perform related activities to support the stores operations and broader team as required.
• Keep track of the inventory to ensure a steady supply of products to stores.
• Reflect Chess' values in the way you work and abide by policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment.
• Ability to work within a team environment and a great attitude with a passion for their work
• Currently holds an Australian Citizen or Permanent Residence.
