The ARM Hub's mission is:

  • to take 'Australian Made' to the world, using Australia's reputation for high-value manufacturing and robotics,
  • drive economic growth through new ways of doing business, especially for small and medium enterprises,
  • lower technical, operational and economic barriers to the adoption of Industry 4.0, and
  • help industry prepare for the future and employ more Australians.

The Hub's administrative centre and workshop facility is located in Northgate, Brisbane.

About the position

The Manufacturing Innovation Co-ordinator is a key role in the delivery of the new ARM Hub AI Adopt Centre, other State and Commonwealth Government projects, and commercial projects. The ARM Hub AI Adopt Centre will provide a joined-up service that demonstrates how data and AI can modernise business, build skills and boost productivity.

The role will perform a variety of duties including:

  • creating and delivering the AI Adopt Centre program;
  • working with nationwide industry, research and technical partners to ensure delivery of projects on-time and on-budget;
  • delivering industry events; and
  • contributing to corporate reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with universities, government and industry peak bodies for the delivery of the program.
  • Plan, program and resource the sub-projects to be delivered.
  • Work with internal ARM Hub project staff as well as working with vendors and/or consultants responsible for the configuration and deployment of work.
  • Manage projects and activities in line with agreed scope and timeframes and work collaboratively to maximise project outcomes.
  • End-to-end planning and delivery of events as set out in the program plan.
  • Maintain project management and other software systems as required.
  • Coordinate and liaise with universities and other research bodies, to deliver technical related seminars and demonstrations.
  • Research, write and edit reports, notes, and other documentation.
  • Comply with health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.

To ensure job flexibility the successful appointee may be required to:

  • perform any other duties as nominated by the ARM Hub, consistent with the relevant classification and descriptors detailed in the relevant Industry Award. Staff undertaking any new duties will receive training.
  • participate in job rotation or multiskilling in consultation with their supervisor.

Type of appointment

This appointment will be offered on a fixed-term full-time basis for 12 months, with possibility of renewal subject to funding.

Location

The role is located at the ARM Hub facility at 53 Holland St, Northgate, Brisbane.

Selection criteria

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, multi-disciplinary projects, preferably with university or government stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in supervising and managing technical and project staff, ideally in manufacturing or technology.
  • Demonstrated well-developed analytical skills including experience analysing and reporting data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time with multiple concurrent deadlines.

Remuneration and benefits

The position has an annual salary range of $100,000 and $120,000, plus 11% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
