Corporate Finance & Investment Banking (Banking & Financial Services) Howden Pacific are looking for a financial analyst with experience in mergers and acquisitions, to join our Sydney team.

Working as part of a M&A team of three and reporting to the Senior Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions, this role is integral to our expansion strategy in Australia and New Zealand.


Responsibilities will include:
Research and analysis (including financial assessment) of potential acquisition targets within Australia and New Zealand.

Assist in due diligence processes for potential acquisitions by Howden Pacific, including data and financial analysis, and preparation of internal investment approval submissions.

Work with Senior M&A Manager to prepare DD reports for the CEO, Chairman and Board.
Create and refine financial models to determine viability of target acquisitions.

The candidate (you)We are growing rapidly and opportunistically, so you will need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and taking on multiple challenges and projects, sometimes without much notice.

If this appeals to you, you will also bring the following technical skills: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in M&A financial analysis role.

Preferable experience in, or knowledge of, the insurance and insurance broking sector.
Exceptional financial modelling skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
