About the Role

Under the supervision of the Chief Pilot and Station Manager, you will offer aerial mustering services to company stations in Western Queensland, stationed at Durham Downs Station QLD. This position offers variety, allowing you to utilize diverse skills, primarily in aerial operations with meticulously maintained company helicopters and, when not airborne, assisting the livestock operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aerial cattle mustering and general aerial tasks (livestock and facilities checks)
• Transporting helicopters for routine maintenance
• Transporting company staff between properties as needed

Skills and Experience:

• A CASA Commercial Pilot Licence Helicopter – CPL (H)
• Aircraft class rating for Single-Engine Helicopter (SEH)
• R22 endorsement, low-level rating, and aerial mustering endorsement
• R44 endorsement (preferable)
• At least 800 hours of aerial mustering experience (preferred)
• Current Class 1 medical certificate
• Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Experience in cattle movement, handling, and processing
• Knowledge of low-stress stock handling principles
• Fencing, stock water, and general maintenance abilities
• Competence in operating station machinery and equipment, along with basic maintenance
• A strong work ethic with a focus on safety
• Good grasp of animal welfare practices
• A genuine love for cattle and station life
