January 2023 has seen us open our new, long awaited, bespoke cellar door in conjunction with our rebranding to 'Thicker than Water'.

After over 20 years of producing World class wines, we finally have a space that resonates and compliments the standard of wine we produce.


Shiraz plays a big role, with our flagship 'Giant Squid Ink' Shiraz having been awarded World's best Red Wine 3 times in the last 10 years, as well as our current release 'Squid Ink' Shiraz just awarded World's Best Shiraz, however we also produce a handful of other regional hero's too.


This is a rare opportunity for someone looking for a new start in a new facility, someone who can take a positive and leading approach to operating a seamless wine tasting experience.

This role will require someone to work weekends and will offer weekdays off. Applicants will be offered an attractive remuneration which will be agreed upon based on experience. While specific wine experience isn't essential, someone with hospitality experience would be prefered.

Our Cellar Door Sales Manager will assist with the day to day running of the Cellar Door, including but not limited to the following roles & responsibilities:1) Always communicate Thicker Than Water brand message clearly

2) Delegate and lead by example for other cellar door staff

3) Welcome guests with excitement

4) Present wines, and demonstrate a tailored wine experience interacting with customers

5) Achieve mailing list and cellar door sales to agreed KPI's

6) Complete opening and closing procedures

7) Process POS orders

8) Ability to use Microsoft programs

9) Ensure all areas are clean and orderly daily

10) Follow all Cellar Door policies and procedures

11) Record, restock and maintain cellar door inventory

12) Ensure both customers and company needs are always met

13) Represent Thicker Than Water and its products & experiences at every available opportunity

14) Assist where required with the preparation of public and private events

15) Maintain Workplace Health & safety and HACCP regulations

16) Packing and dispatching of freight orders

Job Requirements

Applicants successful in this role will:

  • Work weekends & public holidays with weekdays off.
  • Have a current RSA
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Have an interest in wine and people
  • A strong work ethic that's selfmotivated
  • Be customer focused
