Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, as our
Finance Data and Systems Analyst you'll own business processes and services in relation to Finance Systems Management and Data Architecture, Process & Testing, Project Management and Process Improvement.


This key role provides first line functional activity to users in addressing
system performance, availability, data quality and user access issues while also acting as a conduit with the global support team to assist in resolving more complex issues, and for the execution of
change requests.

Additionally, the role will
facilitate driving process improvements across the Finance function.


Ideally, we're looking for someone with
PeopleSoft or Oracle skills with
SQL and Coding skills, or at the very least have a genuine desire to learn on the job.

You'll be an automation specialist and thrive in automating excel processes through SQL workflow and have a passion for continuous improvement.

Other strengths that will be looked upon favorably include Financial, Statistical and Mathematical strengths, and importantly, an enthusiasm for working within the Financial Technical sector.


You'll be working on data extraction & enrichment of the data pipeline, from the data warehouse, treasury management system, various source systems and other references.

Over time, with increased experience, you'll help us to identify opportunities to drive automation and digitisation of the existing processes and enhance controls within the finance department.


What you'll do

  • Ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the required infrastructure across data, processes, and systems to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the bank's accounting, payments, closing and reporting across the wider Finance function
  • Own and implement functional training for Finance system users using PeopleSoft
  • Support the team on finance systems projects and adhoc requests including the development of financial reports
  • Coordinate and execute acceptance testing
  • Deliver finance project management including ongoing engagement with our technology and global teams
  • Document business requirements, systems architecture and processes
  • Monitor data and processes to ensure the integrity and efficiency of Finance outputs
  • Manage the Accounts Payable and General Ledger, including maintenance of accounts, cost centres etc.
  • Act as the first point of contact for users regarding PeopleSoft
  • Developing and maintaining Business Objects Reports

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in developing test plan and test scripts with experience with end to end functional testing activities
  • Highly analytic, problem solving, lateral thinking & interpretive skills with strong attention to detail
  • SQL/VBA or other programming experience (nice to have)
  • Proficient working knowledge in RDBMS (SQL, PL/SQL): programming proficiency in PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine and Application Packages
  • Excellent report writing skills with proven experience working with the Agile Ways of Working
  • A desire to learn & succeed with a positive and proactive 'cando' attitude who has the ability
  • Ability to balance deadlines, priorities & work on concurrent tasks with good interpersonal & relationship building skills.
