About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Analyst to support the team in tracking and maintaining cost control and tracking across a range of projects, involvement in the preparation of feasibility models and monthly reporting activities to assist with corporate planning.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare forecasts, working closely with the asset, project management and development teams.
- Ensuring forecasts accurately reflect assumptions.
- Detailed project cost control, including monitoring and confirming appropriate coding structures are maintained, taking responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the project cost codes within the accounting system.
- Analyse and communicate variances to the budget.
- Provide insights into financial drivers for enhanced management decision making.
- Working with asset and development managers to prepare desktop valuations.
- Feed asset forecasts to the Corporate Planning team.
- Support the development of systems / tools and processes that streamline the asset reforecasting, budgeting process and Corporate Planning.
About you
To be successful, you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent
- Must be CA, CPA or CIMA qualified
- Minimum 6 years' experience in the accounting, property, banking or finance industry in a similar analytical, number and details focused role.
- Excellent analytical thinking skills and natural problemsolving abilities.
- Strong excel and forecasting experience is essential.
- Excellent understanding of the budgeting, forecasting and corporate planning process.
- Management Accountant Experience will be highly regarded.
- You will be a perfectionist with an eye for detail.
- Ability to easily interpret key valuation outputs.
- You will be a great communicator both written and verbal and be able to communicate with people of all levels.
