About the role

  • We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team at Clinical Chemistry at the Central Laboratoy at North Ryde.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Perform routine diagnostic assays including receipt and processing of specimens, recording and validating results are required.
  • Perform routine and as needed maintenance of chemistry analysers.
  • Answering queries from external and internal sources.
  • Assist in stocktake and receipt of stocks.
  • Participate in continuing medical education
  • Perform necessary corrective action on a day to day basis needed as a result of instrument failure, assay and QC failure etc., in consultation with senior scientists.

About you

  • To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
  • A Diploma or a degree in Biomedical Science obtained from a recognised Australian institution
  • A current full unrestricted driver licence may be required
  • Ability to demonstrate sound organisation skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure
