The Castlereagh Boutique Hotel, located at Castlereagh Street, Sydney CBD, is seeking dedicated, ultra-service-oriented professional bartenders to join our unique team.

The Castlereagh Hotel is a stunning heritage building built in 1927, with 83 accommodation rooms, several dining facilities, bars, meeting and function rooms.


As a dedicated bartender at Castlereagh Hotel, you will have past experience in a similar role, preferably in a minimum 4-star hotel or club environment, and a high level of communication, presentation, grooming, and personality is a must.

You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in the Reagh Bar and for various functions, meetings, and events.


Successful applicants will need to possess an attention to detail, be flexible with their availability, be enthusiastic, punctual, and deliver exceptional customer service with a smile We are a multi-national, quality employer with a cohesive and strong work culture.

We are seeking individuals who desire stability and like to develop a connection to our many hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
  • Interact with guests, answering questions and making recommendations
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws
  • Upsell products and coffeemaking skills are a must
  • Engage with guests and ensure they have an exceptional experience every time they visit the hotel

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a highvolume environment
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, including the ability to create classic and specialty cocktails
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, days, nights, and weekends
  • Responsible service of alcohol certification
