Becoming a data driven education institute is a BKI strategic priority and in this newly created role as a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the development, execution, and upkeep of the company wide data assets housed within the Central Data Platform. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, this role is entrusted with crafting and executing strategies aimed at ensuring scalable efficiency and integrity in the use of data to step change its impact through strategic reporting, cutting-edge analytics, and insightful decision-making.

We are excited about you because you have:

  • Experience in developing and realising the potential of an organisation wide cloud based centralised data asset.
  • Expertise in the application of pragmatic data engineering and governance approaches to ensure the robust and scalable use of data.
  • Deep experience in data engineering in Azure is preferable, however skills across AWS or Google cloud platforms desirable.
  • Developed and maintained source system to cloud ETL pipelines
  • Expertise in SQL, python, Spark Apache, Airtable or equivalent orchestration solution
  • Experience with Machine Learning (ML) productionisation is desirable
  • Experience with Agile data and analytics product development
  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience is desirable
  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in simple terms.
  • Collaborative mindset with an ability to work effectively in cross-functional agile teams
  • A positive mindset, being committed, working hard, and embodying a "doer" mentality
