As the Head of Projects & Products for Mutual Benefits, you will lead the strategic approach and delivery of all projects and products that are managed by the Mutual Benefits team and funded through the Program.

This vital role reports to and works closely with the General Manager of Mutual Benefits, to drive the strategy of the Program, by:

  • supporting, implementing, and proactively managing products, projects and initiatives,
- providing leadership and guidance to the Mutual Benefits project and products team, and
- developing and strengthening relationships through engagement and collaboration with our broad network of internal and external stakeholders.


Your strong communication and leadership skills established track record of project/program delivery, strategic approach and developed business acumen, aptitude for problem solving and decision-making skills, risk management skills, adaptability, and proven customer focus and stakeholder management capabilities, will ensure effectively lead projects, and help drive the success of the Program for the benefits of EML Group customers.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively manage and curate a pipeline of future initiatives, innovations and opportunities, based on identified focus areas and pain points for EML Group's customers and the EML Group business units
  • Drive the Mutual Benefits Project Team to deliver an expanding range of projects and products that have broad benefits across the EML Group business, to continually enhance and improve the value delivered by the Program.
  • Successful delivery of the Mutual Benefits program of work and projects within budget, schedule, and scope, including short and longterm objectives for projects and product development.
  • Work closely with the team to strategically develop and evolve existing products such as EML Learning the Facilitated Training Program and EML Offers
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Build and maintain robust and productive internal and external relationships to facilitate the delivery of the Program strategy.
  • People leadership responsibilities including providing coaching, guidance, direction, communication, development and managing resourcing and work performance within the team.
  • The role will also involve risk management, negotiation with projects and agreements, as well as developing and delivering content / material to support the Program strategy and EML business needs (e.g., presentations, marketing, forums etc).

ABOUT YOU

  • More than 3 years demonstrated experience in leading large projects or programs of work.
  • Qualification or accreditation in program/project management desired such as PMBOK/Prince
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills, you'll be able to speak with people at any level and present in a variety of forums.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be advantageous.
  • More than 3 years leadership experience.
  • Claims management experience desirable.
  • If not located in Sydney, regular travel to the Sydney office to support the team will be required.
  • Travel to regional and interstate offices and events may be required occasionally to meet business requirements.
