About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Network Operations Engineer with advanced technical skills in networking, systems, tooling, and automation, to join the Network Reliability Operations team. The role involves supporting and enhancing network operations for our hyper-scale hybrid cloud network, aiming for efficiency and reliability in a fast-paced, scaling environment. The ideal candidate enjoys diving into operational issues, from networking to systems, to identify technical solutions and prevent future problems. What You'll Do:

  • Be the expert on network operations, ensuring high performance for a fault-tolerant production network at scale
  • Investigate complex technical issues across networks, from systems/services to hardware failures, and network challenges
  • Enhance the reliability and efficiency of network operations, develop and optimize processes, and automate workflows
  • Assist in the development, testing, and integration of new hardware and software platforms
  • Contribute to escalations and incident response, managing the incident lifecycle and conducting post mortems
  • Use metrics to improve awareness and response, anticipate operational risks, and develop strategies for mitigation
  • Establish relationships across Network Engineering, TechOps, and service partners to provide top-notch network operations
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining large-scale data center network infrastructure
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting the Linux network stack and service-related network issues
  • Hands-on experience with packet capture tools and analysis for network troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of IP networking technologies and protocols, infrastructure-as-code tools, and various networking vendors

  • Ability to translate technical details into business terminology effectively
