Lilydale, Yarra Valley & High Country VIC Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting)Government - Local (Government & Defence) As a Finance Business Partner at Yarra Ranges Council, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of the Council's statutory obligations, including budgets, long term financial plans, and annual accounts.

You will be a key partner to several Directorates, providing financial advice, reporting and regular support, particularly with budgets, monthly reviews and forecasts.

Along with responsibility for grant acquittals and month end, such as accruals, reconciliations, journals, and monthly and quarterly financial reporting.


Other responsibilities include:
Ensuring the integrity of the Council's financial systems and data.
Seeking opportunities for business improvements.
Providing high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

We seek someone with a positive outlook, a team player, who enjoys a dynamic environment and can communicate well to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

This Band 7 role is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week) with a salary range between $104,442 and $112,677 per annum, plus superannuation.

Yarra Ranges Council supports work-life balance with a monthly rostered day off and hybrid and flexible working arrangements available, based out of our Civic Centre in Lilydale, as well as great leave entitlements.

Experience and skills we're looking for To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience in management accounting and broader finance functions.

The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Work effectively to meet deadlines.
Commitment to contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
Degree or Diploma in Accounting.
CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent) or working towards.
